According to the latest PETROIntelligence report, the average prices in Mexico City are:

• Regular Gasoline: 23.802 pesos per liter • Premium Gasoline: 28.205 pesos per liter • Diesel: 28.552 pesos per liter

This data was obtained from 373 of the 403 gas stations registered in the capital.

Comparison with the National Average

Nationally, prices are slightly lower for some fuels:

• Regular: 23.689 pesos per liter • Premium: 27.925 pesos per liter • Diesel: 28.749 pesos per liter

Key Differences:

• Regular in CDMX is about 11 cents more expensive • Premium is nearly 28 cents above the national average • Diesel, in contrast, is about 20 cents cheaper in the capital

How does it compare to other states?

When comparing with states like Jalisco and Nuevo León, significant variations are observed:

Jalisco

• Regular: 23.999 pesos • Premium: 28.816 pesos • Diesel: 28.798 pesos

Nuevo León

In both states, regular gasoline is more expensive than in CDMX, but premium in Jalisco stands out as the highest among those compared.

Vehicle Natural Gas: The Cheapest Alternative

Vehicle Natural Gas (GNV) remains a more economical option compared to traditional fuels:

• Minimum: 10.990 pesos per liter • Average: 12.601 pesos per liter • Maximum: 14.490 pesos per liter

Although its price is considerably lower, its availability remains limited, with data from only 63 of 149 gas stations nationwide.
